Email Marketing Statistics

Over the course of time, computers have slowly become a huge part of the everyday life of people. In fact, there is an increasing number of people getting connected via the Internet, and these days, most day to day processes are being performed online. With the increase of people virtually living on the Internet, marketers have considered this fact and have opened the doors to Internet advertising. Among the marketing records being held, email marketing statistics ranks the highest in terms of effectiveness and appeal.

Email marketing statistics is being recorded through the number customers are being persuaded by email newsletters in email marketing. So far, email advertising has raked in a lot of customers since almost everybody has an email address, and those who use the Internet check their emails at least once a day. The fact that a possible customer takes time to consider the products or services being advertised in the email is a point towards email marketing statistics.

Unfortunately, since email marketing statistics shows a high response from possible customers, it cannot be helped that some people would try to exploit this positive response. An example of the abuse on the Internet is through SPAM. When illegitimate marketers send SPAM or unsolicited bulk emails, it becomes a bit unappealing for the possible customer. As a result, the customer may or may not simply ignore other emails which are in fact legitimate. Since the rise of SPAM, email marketing statistics cannot help but take the blow because the effectiveness of legitimate emails are often ignored because of SPAM.

However, it is a good thing that CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 helps filter out the good emails from the illegitimate ones. Since the birth of the said act, email marketing statistics have once again shown good signs of recovery. The only thing companies need to know if they plan to use email marketing is to ensure that they follow the rules and regulations set by the mentioned Act. This is important so as to ensure that the emails sent will not be in vain. If companies refuse to follow the rules and regulations, then it is safe to say that email marketing statistics may have to suffer from this neglect.
